Oro Nero or Black Gold

In any race bike weight is a key factor, the lighter you are the easier it is for the power you have to get you down the road.
I have Peter at Oro Nero to thank hugely for his assistance in this project. He really is dedicated to making the best parts possible right down to the correct weave of carbon to ensure every part he makes looks right and performs right. Visiting Peter's workshop, it's very interesting to see the process and the techniques he uses to manufacture the parts. Don't worry Peter I'll take your trade secrets to the grave. More enlightening is seeing the weight savings to be made. Just take a simple aluminium fairing bracket, if it weighs 38 grams then the corresponding carbon part weighs 19 grams. All in all the new parts should shave a few kilos off the bike, I've also put Stuart on the Atkins diet. I have fairings and more components to follow but here is a flavour of things to come.

Rear sets - Ohlins reservoir mount - Exhaust hangers

Front mudguard - Rear hugger - Air runner plates

Seat unit - Under seat Oil breather catch tank

  1. Having seen some these parts, the pictures don't do the bits justice, nothing to do with Stafford's photographic skills, they are works of art.
    As to the diet........
